Christian living is not a method or technique; it is an entirely different, revolutionary principle of life.

The measure of a man’s worth is the measure in which he no longer lives “to and for himself,” but “to and for Jesus Christ.” No more and no less!
– Ian Thomas –
The moment you come to realize that only God can make a man godly, you are left with no option but to find God, and to know God, and to let God be God in and through you.

I know of nothing so utterly exciting as being a Christian, sharing the very Life of Jesus Christ on earth right here and now, being caught up with Him into the relentless, invincible purposes of the almighty God, and having available to us all the limitless resources of God for accomplishing those purposes. Can you imagine anything more exciting than that?
– Major Ian Thomas –
The Lord jesus Christ wants to be to you now, all that the Father was to Him then – God; if only you will be to Him now, all that He was to the Father then – Man!
– Major Ian Thomas –
Man was so engineered by God that the presence of the Creator within the creature is indispensable to his humanity.

Do not imagine that you will be anymore spiritually effective on the mission field that you are in your own home town. Indeed, you will find it a thousand times more difficult.

Listen, this isn’t just a story; this isn’t just a parable. Men and women, I’m talking about you. Some of you men and women have been converted ten, twenty, thirty, some of you may even have been preachers for fifty years, and you’ve never yet discovered the principle of life that was buried within you in the day that you were spiritually regenerate. It’s possible for you and for me in our pigheaded self-esteem, in our very sincerity and zeal in serving God to endungeon and to imprison the Son of God within our souls, and we become the dried up, withered, useless things we are, on the shelf, remaining living. We’ll get to heaven, for the life has been imparted by the divine Spirit – but we are quenching and frustrating and grieving the Spirit of God, busy being ourselves when the one thing that the Father wants is the opportunity for His Son to be Himself.
– Ian Thomas –
…I thank Thee that Thou art risen from the dead, that at this very moment Thou dost indwell me in the person and power of Thy divine Spirit; that Thou hast never expected of me anything but failure, yet Thou hast given to me Thy strength for my weakness, Thy victory for my defeat, Thyself for all my bankruptcy! I step out now, by faith, into a future that is limited only by what Thou art! To me to live is Christ!
