God at work on us – David Wilkerson

God at work on us – David Wilkerson

We are so busy working for God, we forget He is trying to work on us. That is what this life is all about: God at work on us, trying to remake us into vessels of glory.

Doing great things for God – Hudson Taylor

Doing great things for God – Hudson Taylor

Many Christians estimate difficulty in the light of their own resources, and thus they attempt very little and they always fail. All giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence to be with them.

The difficulty and joy of life – Gladys Aylward

The difficulty and joy of life – Gladys Aylward

Life is pitiful, death so familiar, suffering and pain so common, yet I would not be anywhere else. Do not wish me out of this or in any way seek to get me out, for I will not be got out while this trial is on. These are my people, God has given them to me, and I will live or die with for Him and His glory.

If God has called you – Gladys Aylward

If God has called you – Gladys Aylward

If God has called you to China or any other place and you are sure in your own heart, let nothing deter you. Remember, it is God who has called you and it is the same as when He called Moses or Samuel.

Success and Sacrifice – Adoniram Judson

Success and Sacrifice – Adoniram Judson

There is no success without sacrifice. If you succeed without sacrifice it is because someone has suffered before you. If you sacrifice without success it is because someone will succeed after.

Am I willing to go? – George Muller

Am I willing to go? – George Muller

When we ask God for a thing, such as that He would be pleased to raise up labourers for His harvest, or send means for the carrying on of His work, the honest question to be put to our hearts should be this: Am I willing to go, if He should call me? Am I willing to give according to my ability? For we may be the very persons whom the Lord will call for the work, or whose means He may wish to employ.
