Prayer

The main lesson about prayer is just this: Do it! Do it! Do it! You want to be taught to pray. My answer is pray and never faint, and then you shall never fail.

When God is about to give His people the expected good, He pours out a Spirit of prayer, and it is a good sign that He is coming towards them in mercy.

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

– Ezekiel 22:30 NKJV –

And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

I want to see something that God builds. I want to find some people so hungry for God that every night they want to pray; (and find) where there’s intercession! We’re not going to move America any other way … We’ve tried every scheme and any every fancy thing and (we) try and work something up, but what we need some body to come down. Some person! Not a new theology, a person! Just as the Holy Ghost invaded the virgin womb and created Christ there, I need the Holy Ghost to form Christ in me. If I don’t, I’m not a Christian! Christ in you the hope of glory. That’s what it’s all about.

We cannot organize revival, but we can set our sails to catch the wind from Heaven when God chooses to blow upon His people once again.

The coming revival must begin with a great revival of prayer. It is in the closet, with the door shut, that the sound of abundance of rain will first be heard. An increase of secret prayer with ministers
will be the sure harbinger of blessing.
